The Fastest Growing Religion In the World

Sheikh Yusuf Estes embraced Islam at the age of 50 after meeting with a Muslim for the first time in his life. Until then, he had the belief that all Muslims were terrorists and bombers. He was a priest and Christian musician minister as well as owner of several music stores.Sheikh Yusuf, a former preacher against Islam despised having to meet with a Muslim but being a dutiful servant of the cross, he decided he would convert this Muslim who needed to be saved in the name of Jesus. However his encounter with this Muslim and the events that followed impacted him and his family greatly. Eventually he and his wife and children embraced Islam, as well as his father and stepmother.

Abdur-Raheem Green  formerly known as Anthony Green, a British convert to Islam. Appearance-wise, he bears clear similarities with the image that the Christian world has made of Prophet Jesus (PBUH). Green was born by British parents in Darussalaam, Tanzania, in 1964. He was educated at a famous Roman Catholic Monastic School called Ampleforth College and went on to study history in the London University. However, he left his education unfinished. Green was dissatisfied with Christianity since the age of eight, and eventually he left that religion. He practiced Buddhism for nearly three years though he never formally embraced it. Gradually Abdur-Raheem Green started to study the Qur'an, and this gave him an immediate attraction towards Islam, and he accepted the religion in 1988.

Joshua Evans Joshua (Yusha) Evans is an American, former Christian Missionary & Youth Minister from South Carolina who has converted to Islam. Since becoming a Muslim, he has evolved into one of the most sought-after Islamic speakers and lecturers, particularly on college/university campuses.

He recently traveled to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest and most sacred site of the Islamic religion, to perform Umrah. He has since quit rapping and now is focusing on seeking knowledge and giving Da'wa.

Hussain Yee

Shaikh Hussain Yee is the President of Al Khadim Organization in Malaysia. He is a Malaysian national of Chinese descent. Although born into a Buddhist family, he embraced Islam at the age of 18 in 1968.

He pursued further studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia majoring in Hadith. Tim Humble Mohammed Tim Humble became interested in Islam during Religious Education classes in Primary School. After researching it further on the internet he accepted Islam at the age of 14. Thereafter he went through a period of 4-5 years where he struggled to implement and practice his new-found faith. The Muslim community in his hometown was unwelcoming and unhelpful to New Muslims. In his own words, “One of the biggest problems we have in the Ummah is that we are excellent at selling the religion; we’re great salesmen…What we’re really, really rubbish at is keeping them in Islam once they become Muslim.”

Susan Carland Susan Carland is a researcher in the Centre of Islam and The Modern World at the School of Political and Social Inquiry at the Monash University in Melbourne.

Dr. Laurence Brown

A product of Christian-American ancestry dating back to the year 1677, up until his conversion to Islam in April of 1994, Dr. Brown easily could have passed as an example of a man who lived the stereotypical American dream.
A graduate from two Ivy League universities with subspecialty training in ophthalmology, Dr. Brown served as a respected ophthalmologist in the U.S. Air Force for a period of eight years.

Midway through his Air Force career, Dr. Brown's ‘ideal American family' included a wife, two children, a country estate, the requisite two cars and a dog, and the full array of comforts and toys which clutter the houses and lives of those preoccupied with materialism. Yet Dr. Brown ended up sacrificing virtually everything he had worked for when he faced a religious conviction which overturned his lifelong priorities.
